Air Fryer Catfish with Spicy Tartar Sauce

Air Fryer Catfish with Spicy Tartar Sauce features catfish fillets coated in a seasoned cornmeal and Cajun spice mix, air fried to a crisp exterior. The coating gives the catfish a crunchy texture while the spicy tartar sauce, made with dill pickles, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning, adds a tangy, zesty contrast. This dish offers a flavorful meal combining the mild fish with a spicy, creamy condiment and is quick to prepare in the air fryer for convenient cooking.

Description

Air Fryer Catfish with Spicy Tartar Sauce centers on catfish fillets dredged in a cornmeal and Cajun seasoning blend. The fish is cooked in the air fryer to yield a golden, crispy crust while keeping the flesh tender. The spicy tartar sauce complements the catfish with its mix of diced dill pickles, creamy mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Cajun spices, providing a creamy and slightly tangy dip. Cooking at a high temperature finishes the crust to a nicely browned finish without frying in oil.

The dish is served with lemon wedges which brighten the flavors and balance the spice. This combination produces a satisfying meal that pairs simple preparation with bold seasoning. The air fryer method is a convenient way to achieve a crisp texture without deep frying, making this a practical recipe for a flavorful fish dish.
