Air Fryer Cauliflower Wings
Description
Air Fryer Cauliflower Wings consist of medium-sized cauliflower florets tossed in a blend of hot sauce, avocado or olive oil, and salt. The florets are spread in a single layer inside an air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and maximum crispness. The air fryer cooks them at 400°F (200°C), shaking the basket several times to allow thorough crisping on all sides. A second batch is cooked slightly less time to prevent overcooking. For those without an air fryer, baking at 350°F (180°C) offers a similar result, with periodic turning to achieve crisp edges.
The wings offer a spicy, tangy flavor from the hot sauce and a crispy texture outside while maintaining cauliflower's natural tenderness inside. Starting with milder sauce lets you adjust heat to preference. Uniform cut sizes ensure even cooking.
They pair well as a snack or appetizer and can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days. Reheating carefully is recommended to preserve crispness. The recipe notes provide tips like drying cauliflower to help seasoning adhere and ensuring pieces do not crowd the air fryer for best results.

- Mix together hot sauce, avocado oil and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the cauliflower florets and toss to coat.
- Add half the cauliflower into the air fryer basket in a single layer, and fry for 12-15 minutes (or it reaches your desired doneness).

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 180 degrees C / gas 6.
- Coat the cauliflower with the buffalo sauce mixture and place in a single layer on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes (until done and is crisp at the edges with a little bite still or until it reaches your desired doneness) turning a couple of times during baking.
Notes
- Cut cauliflower florets to uniform size for even cooking.
- Pat dry florets before seasoning to help sauce stick better.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation and crisping.
- Shake the air fryer basket 2-3 times during cooking for even texture.
- Adjust hot sauce amount to manage spiciness, starting with less if unsure.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Watch closely during cooking to prevent burning.
