Instructions
- Start by placing the butter in medium chunks into a silicone pan that fits your air fryer. Air fry at 120c/250f for about 4 minutes to melt the butter. Transfer the butter to a mixing bowl and add in crushed Oreos and mix well with a fork. Spoon the mixture into a springform pan pressing it down for a level crust.
- Next add to a bowl the cream cheese and the granulated sugar and mix well with a electric hand mixer until creamy and smooth. Add in the sour cream and vanilla and continue mixing, then gradually add in the eggs and mix until you have a creamy, smooth batter. Using a wooden spoon stir in the oreos breaking some bits up and then keeping a few bigger chunks.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the cheesecake crust and then place the springform pan into the air fryer basket.
- Air fry cheesecake at 160c/320f for 30 minutes, then do an internal temperature test to make sure it has reached 70c/160f or above. Then close the air fryer drawer and let it sit for 30 minutes and then it can use the hot air fry from the air fryer to keep it cooking. Finally, remove it from the air fryer, place on the worktop to fully cool, before placing it in the fridge overnight.
- The next day, the air fryer cheesecake is ready for decorating. Place into a silicone container 2/3 of the chocolate chunks and air fry at 120c/250f for 3 minutes to melt the chocolate. Then either use a piping bag or a spoon to create decorative lines across the top of the cheesecake. Then finish the decorating with some mini Oreos and the remaining white chocolate chunks.
Notes
- Dual. If you have an air fryer dual (such as this one we have) we recommend instead making a couple of 4 inch or 6 inch cheesecakes as these will fit better in the narrower drawers.
- Please note This cheesecake air fryer recipe was tested in our Philips Air Fryer (its this one). Air fryers vary so adjust if necessary, depending on the quality of your air fryer. Or consult the temperature test on page 18 of The Complete Air Fryer Cookbook.
