Air Fryer Chicken Drumsticks
Description
This recipe prepares chicken drumsticks by first drying them and seasoning simply with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. Cooking in the air fryer at a high temperature crisps the skin and cooks the meat thoroughly, ensuring a juicy interior with a desirable texture. Flipping midway improves even cooking.
Once cooked to an internal temperature of at least 165°F, the drumsticks are tossed in the sauce of choice, allowing customization of flavor and added moisture. This step lets the chicken absorb the sauce without losing the crispness developed during air frying.
The dish is ideal for a quick, protein-rich meal and can be served alongside various sides. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for several days, making it practical for meal planning. Sauce selection can vary, affecting the final profile.
Cooking times may vary based on drumstick size and air fryer model, so temperature checks help ensure safe doneness. The preparation is straightforward, adaptable, and highlights the air fryer's convenience.
