Air Fryer Chicken Wings
Description
This recipe begins by rinsing and drying chicken wings, then coating them in olive oil and a dry seasoning blend including garlic powder and onion powder. The wings cook in an air fryer preheated to 400°F to crisp the skin, then finish at 380°F to ensure even cooking. Cooking in batches prevents overcrowding, promoting crispy texture on all sides.
The seasoning is straightforward, emphasizing familiar savory spices that create a balanced flavor profile complemented by the natural chicken taste. The air fryer method yields wings with crisp exterior edges while retaining juicy, tender meat inside.
Serve the wings freshly cooked alongside your preferred dipping sauces. The recipe notes also provide instructions for adapting the cooking process to frozen wings, adjusting times and temperatures accordingly.
For frozen wings, coat similarly and cook at lower temperature initially, then increase heat for crisping. This helps achieve proper doneness without drying out the chicken.
