Air Fryer Chickpeas
Description
This recipe begins by thoroughly drying rinsed canned chickpeas to promote crispness during cooking. They are then tossed with olive oil and seasoning spices including garlic powder and cumin for flavor depth. Cooking in the air fryer at 400°F crisps the chickpeas quickly while maintaining a tender interior.
The air fryer basket is shaken periodically to ensure even browning and texture. The final result is crunchy on the outside with a slightly softer center, making these versatile for snacking or adding texture to dishes. They can be eaten warm or cooled completely for later use.
Stored in an airtight container at room temperature, these chickpeas maintain their crispness for up to a week, making them convenient to prepare in advance as a wholesome snack or salad component.
