Air Fryer Cornish Hen

The Air Fryer Cornish Hen is a simple roasted poultry dish seasoned with olive oil and shawarma spice mix, delivering a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Cooking involves rubbing the seasoned hen and air frying it at a high temperature, turning halfway to ensure even crispness. This method yields a golden brown hen with flavorful skin and tender meat without the need for traditional oven roasting.

Description

Air Frying a Cornish hen seasoned with a shawarma spice blend produces a crispy skin and moist meat. The recipe starts by coating the hen with olive oil and spices, then cooking it at 400°F, turning it midway to brown both sides evenly. The result is a whole bird with a flavorful crust from the rub and a tender, juicy interior, achieved efficiently by the air fryer’s circulating heat. Using a meat thermometer is essential for safety, ensuring the internal temperature reaches the recommended 165°F before resting the meat slightly for optimal juiciness. This preparation highlights the balance of crisp texture and spiced flavors from the shawarma mix, making the dish appealing for a simple yet distinct meal.
