Air Fryer Croutons
Description
This recipe begins by cubing French bread into roughly 1-inch pieces for even cooking. The bread cubes are mixed with melted butter, garlic granules, dried parsley, sea salt, and ground black pepper, ensuring each piece gets an even coating. The coated bread is allowed to rest briefly to absorb the flavors.
The croutons are then air fried at 200°C (400°F) for approximately 6 minutes total, shaken midway to crisp all sides evenly. The result is a crunchy golden crouton with a buttery garlic-herb seasoning. Cooling on paper towels allows them to crisp further by losing residual moisture.
These croutons make a convenient topping for salads or soups, infusing them with both texture and flavor without deep frying. Adjusting cooking time can soften the crunch for those with dental considerations. Uniform size ensures consistent crisping, and leftover croutons can be ground into breadcrumbs for another use.
