Air Fryer French Toast Sticks
Description
Air Fryer French Toast Sticks are prepared by cutting brioche bread into 1-inch thick slices, then into sticks. The sticks are dipped in a mixture of eggs, milk, and vanilla extract, then rolled in a cinnamon sugar mix. Cooking in the air fryer at 375°F crisps the outside while keeping the inside soft and flavorful. This method offers a convenient way to achieve a classic French toast texture without frying.
The cinnamon sugar coating adds sweetness and spice, while the brioche's softness provides a rich base. Cooking in batches ensures space for even air circulation and uniform crisping. Serving immediately with maple syrup complements the cinnamon sugar coating.
Oven instructions allow baking at 350°F if an air fryer is unavailable. Storing leftovers in airtight containers preserves texture, with guidance for reheating and freezing included. Variations include using different bread types or spices in place of cinnamon.

- In another shallow bowl (large enough to roll the dipped French toast sticks in the cinnamon-sugar mixture), mix together cinnamon and sugar mixture.
- Dip each piece of Brioche into the egg mixture, making sure it's evenly covered, allowing excess to drip off, then transfer the stick (into the sugar mixture, turning to coat completely.
- Place on parchment lined baking sheet, continue dipping and coating until you have enough to fill your air fryer, without crowding.
- Place french toast sticks in preheated air fryer, without crowding and cook for 3 minutes, then turn each stick and cook additional 3-4 minutes. You will probably need to work in batches.
- Serve immediately served with maple syrup, powdered sugar, honey, whipped cream, berries or whatever you like!
