Air Fryer French Toast Sticks
Description
This recipe takes thick slices of bread trimmed into sticks and dips them into a mixture of eggs, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to impart sweet, warm flavors. The egg coating soaks into the bread slightly, ensuring the interior stays tender. Cooking them in a preheated air fryer at 350°F crisps the outsides while keeping the centers soft. The sticks are arranged in a single layer, cooked for 4 minutes on one side, then flipped for another 4 minutes, resulting in an evenly golden crust. The air fryer method reduces added fat compared to pan frying and speeds cooking time. These sticks serve well hot for breakfast or snacks and pair nicely with syrup or fresh fruit.
