  • 2 pounds chicken legs and thighs, skin on
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 egg large
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Coating
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • vegetable oil canola or olive oil, for spraying chicken

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry chicken set aside
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, salt and pepper until well combined
  3. In another large bowl, whisk together flour, and seasonings
  4. Coat chicken with flour mixture
  5. Then dip in buttermilk mixture
  6. Then repeat in flour mixture
  7. Place chicken in air fryer basket, spray basket with oil and leave room around each piece to allow air to flow
  8. Spray chicken with oil
  9. Cook at 370 degrees F for 15-20 minutes
  10. Turn chicken over and spray with more oil
  11. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes or until golden
  12. Repeat with remaining chicken
  13. Serve immediately
  14. Store leftovers in refrigerator in airtight container
