Air Fryer Fried Shrimp
Description
This recipe prepares large shrimp by coating them first in seasoned flour, then dipping in beaten eggs, and finally pressing into a mixture of panko bread crumbs and seasoning. Cooking in the air fryer at a high temperature crisps the coating evenly on both sides while keeping the shrimp tender inside.
The quick cooking time of about 8 minutes total ensures the shrimp retain juiciness while the panko creates a golden and crunchy crust. Spraying the shrimp with cooking spray before and after flipping helps the coating brown and crisp.
These shrimp can be served with cocktail sauce or another dipping sauce. The recipe advises cooking in batches to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket, ensuring even cooking. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to three days and reheated in the air fryer to restore crispness.
