Ingredients

Servings
  • 12-16 oz. green beans ends trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp. neutral cooking oil avocado or olive, generic cooking oil
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced
  • ½ - ¾ tsp. salt to taste
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • lemon zest and juice, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat a 6-quart air fryer to 375-380 degrees for at least 3 minutes.
  2. Trim the ends from the green beans if they haven’t already been prepared.
  3. Whisk together the oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add the beans and toss until they’re well coated.
  4. Add the beans to the air fryer basket and spread them out along the bottom.
  5. Cook for 8-9 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they’re bright green and fork tender.
  6. Serve with lemon zest and juice. Enjoy!

Notes

  • How to prep ahead of time: Trim the green beans and store them in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 days.
  • How to store: Keep leftover crispy air fryer green beans in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 to 5 days.
  • How to freeze: Carefully put green beans in a freezer bag or container. If using a bag or plastic wrap, put a layer of aluminum foil around the outside for additional protection. This step keeps air out and reduces freezer burn. For the best results, flash freeze green beans in a single layer first to keep them from bunching together.
  • How to reheat: Cook in a skillet over medium heat with additional butter or oil as needed
