Air Fryer Hamburgers
Description
This recipe starts with 80/20 ground beef mixed with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to season the meat evenly. The mixture is gently combined to avoid toughening, then shaped into four patties. Cooking in a preheated air fryer at 370°F crisps the exterior while sealing in juices, with a flip midway to ensure even doneness to an internal temperature of 160°F.
The burgers can be topped with cheese during the final minute of cooking to melt perfectly. This straightforward technique skips traditional grilling or pan-frying, offering a convenient way to make classic hamburgers with consistent results.
Serve immediately with preferred toppings and buns. Leftovers store well in an airtight container refrigerated for up to five days.
Using 80/20 ground beef is recommended to achieve ideal flavor and texture; leaner meats require shorter cooking times to avoid overcooking.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper ground
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine ground beef and seasonings until well combined. Don’t over work the meat as it will make your burgers tough.
- Divide beef into 4 equal portions, roll into balls and form into patties
- Preheat Air Fryer to 370 degrees F. If your air fryer doesn't have a preheat option, then run the air fryer at 370 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- Add patties in a single layer into the basket of the air fryer.
- Cook for 6, flip burgers and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F, (approximately 3-4 minutes).
- Add cheese, if using, and cook until cheese is melted, about 1 minute.
- Serve immediately with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Notes
- Use 80/20 ground beef for the best flavor and juiciness in these air fryer hamburgers.
- Lean ground meats or poultry need reduced cooking times to prevent drying out the patties.
- Store cooked burgers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to five days.
- Nutritional information excludes burger buns and toppings; add these according to your choice.
