Air Fryer King Prawns
Description
The Air Fryer King Prawns recipe uses a simple marinade of onion, garlic, parsley, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper to impart fresh and bright flavors to the prawns. Marinating for 15 minutes allows the seasonings to penetrate lightly, enhancing the seafood taste without overpowering it. Cooking in the air fryer at 220°C (425°F) for 8 minutes results in nicely cooked prawns with a firm, juicy texture and a vibrant pink color indicating doneness.
The method keeps the prawns tender and flavorful without excess oil or frying mess, suitable for serving immediately as a main or part of a meal. You can pair these prawns with rice, salad, tacos, or a burrito bowl for a flexible seafood addition.
Variations include adding coconut flakes or Panko breadcrumbs for texture or mixing in Mexican seasoning for a different flavor profile. Vegetables like bell peppers and courgettes can be added during cooking for extra color and nutrition. When using frozen prawns, it is important to defrost them fully and pat dry to avoid excess moisture in the air fryer.
