Air Fryer Lamb Chops
Description
This recipe uses Australian lamb loin chops about one inch thick, seasoned with olive oil, minced garlic, basil, oregano, black pepper, and salt. The marinade can be applied immediately before cooking or up to 24 hours in advance in the refrigerator. The air fryer preheats to 400°F and cooks the lamb for 7 to 10 minutes, with a meat thermometer used to check internal temperature to accommodate preferred doneness, ranging from rare to well done. Resting the chops after cooking allows juices to redistribute, maintaining tenderness and flavor. Fresh thyme garnish adds a subtle herbal note that complements the savory seasoning blend.
The resulting lamb chops have a herbaceous crust and tender interior, ideal for a protein-focused meal. Depending on thickness and air fryer model, cooking time may vary, so internal temperature monitoring is recommended to get results suited to individual preferences.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to four days, making this recipe useful for meal prepping or easy leftovers.
Ingredients
- 4 lamb chops Australian
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp garlic minced
- 2 tbsp basil fresh

- Finally, once meat has reached desired temperature, remove from air fryer.
- Allow meat to rest for 5 minutes before serving and slicing into.
- Garnish with fresh thyme if desired.
Notes
- Use bone-in Australian lamb loin chops about 1 inch thick for optimal results.
- Marinate the chops immediately or up to 24 hours ahead in the refrigerator.

- Target lamb doneness temperatures: rare at 120°F, medium rare at 125°F, medium at 130°F, well done at 145°F or higher.
- Allow lamb chops to rest for 5 minutes after cooking to retain juices.
