Air Fryer Peppers
Description
Air Fryer Peppers showcases fresh bell pepper strips seasoned simply with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper. The peppers are sliced to remove stems and seeds, then coated evenly before being cooked in an air fryer. The constant circulation of hot air crisps the edges while softening the inner flesh, preserving the vegetable's vibrant color and flavor. Shaking the basket halfway through cooking promotes uniform texture and browning.
The gentle seasoning enhances the peppers’ natural sweetness without overpowering it. This preparation makes for a versatile side dish or an addition to salads, sandwiches, or grain bowls. The crisp-tender texture contrasts nicely with softer dishes.
Careful slicing to remove membranes and seeds, along with not overcrowding the basket, helps ensure the peppers roast rather than steam, resulting in a more satisfying texture. Checking your air fryer’s preheat requirements will improve consistency when cooking.
