Air Fryer Roasted Carrots
Description
Air Fryer Roasted Carrots involve peeling and cutting carrots into sticks or using whole baby carrots if preferred. They are tossed with olive oil, ground cumin, and kosher salt to coat evenly. The air fryer is preheated to 370°F, and carrots are cooked for 10-14 minutes until tender and caramelized, with cooking time adjusted to desired texture.
The cumin adds a warm, earthy spice while the olive oil promotes browning in the dry heat of the air fryer. This technique produces a quicker roasted carrot than an oven while retaining vibrant flavor and slight crisp outside textures.
Garden carrots tend to cook faster than store-bought ones, so checking early helps avoid overcooking. Frozen carrot varieties can also be air fried if the cooking time is lengthened and the vegetables are coated with cooking spray to prevent freezing spots.
Spacing the carrots loosely in the air fryer basket allows more even crisping and caramelization. Overcrowding reduces browning.
Ingredients
- 1 pound carrot about 5 medium-sized carrots
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- kosher salt to taste
Instructions

Notes
- Garden carrots cook faster than store-bought; check early to avoid overcooking.
- Air fryer models vary—monitor carrots during cooking for best results.
