Air Fryer Stuffed Hamburgers
Description
This recipe starts by mixing minced beef with finely diced onion, garlic puree, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to create a well-seasoned burger mix. The mixture is shaped into patties using biscuit cutters to ensure uniform size. Each bottom patty is topped with slices of cheddar, soft cheese, and grated cheddar, then covered with a matching top patty. The edges are carefully sealed by pressing the burger halves together to enclose the cheese filling securely.
The stuffed burgers are cooked in an air fryer at 180°C (360°F) for about 15 minutes, allowing the cheese inside to melt while the meat forms a slightly crisp exterior. An additional minute of cooking with extra cheddar on top melts cheese on the surface, adding an attractive finishing touch and added flavor.
These burgers serve as a hearty main dish ideal for casual meals where juicy meat and melty cheese combine. They can be garnished or accompanied by barbecue sauce or other condiments as desired.
Careful sealing is essential to prevent cheese from leaking during cooking, ensuring a satisfying stuffed burger experience. Various mince types can be used, including beef, pork blends, or poultry alternatives. Slicing onions thin helps integrate flavor without large bites of onion.
