Air Fryer Sweet Potato Pie

This Air Fryer Sweet Potato Pie uses cooked sweet potato puree combined with brown sugar, oil, cream, eggs, and warm spices for a smooth, spiced filling. The filling is poured into small pre-made pie crusts and cooked in an air fryer, yielding a tender, set pie with a delicate crust. The compact size suits individual servings and air fryer capacity.

Description

The Air Fryer Sweet Potato Pie recipe calls for sweet potato puree mixed with brown sugar, vegetable oil, heavy cream, eggs, vanilla, and a blend of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. The mixture results in a silky, warmly spiced filling. Placing the filling into 3-inch pie plates lined with store-bought pie crusts allows the pies to cook evenly in the air fryer, delivering a softly set custard texture within a tender crust.

Air frying at a moderate temperature ensures the filling is cooked through without burning the crust. This method is suited to small pies, as full-sized pies don't cook as reliably in typical air fryer baskets. This recipe is good for individual servings that can be enjoyed as a comforting dessert or snack with seasonal appeal.

Planning ahead is recommended by preparing sweet potato puree in advance and storing it frozen for quick use. Because air fryer temperatures vary, initial cooking time should be monitored and adjusted to ensure the pies are set but not overcooked. Leftover pies refrigerate well for a few days.
