Ingredients

Servings

Classic Flavor

  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • teaspoon salt fine

Lime Flavor

  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (about ½ lime)
  • teaspoon salt fine

Spicy Chipotle Flavor

  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • teaspoon salt fine

BBQ Flavor

  • 4 corn tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • ½ tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon salt fine

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the oil and seasonings of the flavor of your choice.
  2. Brush both sides of all the tortillas with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Stack the tortillas on top of each other, and then cut the stack into quarters to form 16 triangles.
  4. Arrange the tortilla chips in a single layer in your air fryer basket and air fry at 350°F for about 6 minutes*, or until the chips start to brown around the edges. You will probably need to do this in batches since the air fryer basket is typically small.
  5. Carefully transfer the chips to a wire rack to cool completely. Don’t worry if they’re not super crunchy at this point - they will get crispier as they cool down.
  6. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • All air fryers are different, so I recommend checking on the chips at the 5-minute mark to see how they look. You may need to remove any that are already crunchy and cooked, then continue cooking the rest.
  • Here's the air fryer that I have.
