Air Fryer Turkey Bacon

Report
Air Fryer Turkey Bacon offers a quick way to prepare turkey bacon slices with a crispy texture using an air fryer. The method involves cooking the bacon at 360°F, flipping halfway to achieve even cooking, and letting it crisp up slightly after cooking. This technique yields turkey bacon that balances a tender interior with a lightly crisp exterior, ideal for breakfast or sandwich additions.

Description

The Air Fryer Turkey Bacon recipe involves preheating an air fryer to 360 degrees Fahrenheit before placing slices in a single layer without overlap. The bacon cooks for about 5 minutes on one side, then flipping to cook an additional 4 to 5 minutes, depending on preferred doneness—softer or crispier. After cooking, the bacon rests on a paper towel-lined plate where it continues to crisp as it cools. This method uses the air fryer to render fat efficiently and produce evenly cooked turkey bacon with minimal mess.

The recipe works well in batches until all slices are done. Serving the bacon warm complements various meals, including breakfast plates or as an ingredient in sandwiches and salads.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F.  If your air fryer does not have a preheat option, then run the air fryer for 5 minutes at 360 degrees F.
  2. Place the bacon in a single layer at the bottom of the air fryer.  You can easily place however many will fit without overlapping.
  3. Cook the bacon for 5 minutes at 360 degrees F.
  4. Then flip the bacon and cook the bacon for 4-5 more minutes depending on how you like your bacon.  4 minutes for softer bacon and 5 minutes for crispier bacon.
  5. Place on a paper towel lined plate to cool.
  6. Bacon will continue to get crispy as it cools.
  7. Continue this process until all the bacon is cooked.
  8. Then serve warm and enjoy!
