Air Fryer Zucchini Chips (No Breading)

These air fryer zucchini chips offer a healthier, breading-free alternative to traditional chips, delivering a crispy and tender texture with simple seasoning. Thinly sliced zucchini is salted to draw out moisture before being air fried to a golden brown, resulting in light, flavorful chips with a subtle garlic taste. Their crispness makes them a satisfying snack or side without added breading or heavy oils.

Description

Air Fryer Zucchini Chips (No Breading) begin with thin 1/8-inch slices of zucchini, which are salted and left to sit for five minutes to draw out excess moisture. This step is important to achieve a crisp texture during cooking. After patting dry, the slices are tossed with garlic powder and a light spray of cooking oil to enhance flavor and aid browning. Cooking in an air fryer at 350 °F crisps the chips evenly without submerging them in oil.

The chips cook in one or two batches to allow for even air circulation and prevent sogginess. Flipping them halfway through ensures both sides get golden and crisp. The result is a delicate crispness with a tender zucchini center and mild garlic seasoning, creating a light snack or side that is less greasy than fried alternatives.

These chips can be served alone as a snack or paired with dips. Their simplicity highlights the natural zucchini flavor enhanced by a slight garlic note, and the air frying technique reduces oil use and cleanup.
