  • 8 Hamburger Bun See Note 1
  • 8 cups chicken See Note 2, shredded, cooked
  • 1 cup Alabama White Sauce
  • 32 dill pickles sliced
  • butter for toasted buns

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add the shredded chicken and Alabama White Sauce. Toss to coat and set aside.
  2. Toast the hamburger buns until golden brown. Spread butter on (optional).
  3. Place 1 cup of the chicken mixture on the bottom of a bun, top with 4 dill pickle slices and place top bun half on top.
  4. Serve 2 sandwiches per person.

Notes

  • Brioche buns are recommended for their density and buttery texture, which hold up well to the moist filling.
  • Rotisserie chicken or smoked spatchcocked chicken basted with Alabama White Sauce can be used to enhance flavor and ease preparation.
