Description

Almond Bark with Pretzels and Popcorn involves melting milk chocolate and spreading it on a silicone mat as the base layer. Slivered almonds and broken pretzel pieces are pressed into the soft chocolate, followed by an even layer of popped popcorn. Separately melted white and semi-sweet chocolates are drizzled across the top, providing visual contrast and sweetness.   • 8 oz milk chocolate
  • 3 oz white chocolate
  • 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 oz Popcorn popped
  • 2 oz almond slivered
  • 2 oz pretzels bits
  • 2 tbsp peppermint candy cane crushed
  • 1 tbsp Rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave (approximately 2 minutes in a 1200 Watt microwave.) Spread it out over a Silpat baking mat.
  2. Add the almond slivers and the broken pieces of pretzels to the chocolate.
  3. Distribute the popcorn evenly over the chocolate and pretzels. Gently press the popcorn and pretzels into the chocolate.
  4. Melt the white and semi sweet chocolates separately and drizzle them over the tray. Using a food service squeeze bottle makes the drizzling easier.
  5. Disperse the peppermint candy pieces and rainbow sprinkles.
  6. Work quickly, all the toppings need to stick to the melted chocolate. Leave to harden in a cool area or refrigerator. Using a pizza cutter, cut the bark into rectangles, 1 tray yields 15 pieces measuring 3" x 3⅓".
