Almond Milk
Description
The Almond Milk recipe involves soaking raw almonds overnight, which softens them and makes blending easier. After blending the soaked almonds with filtered water until creamy, the mixture is strained to separate the liquid from the almond pulp, yielding a smooth milk. Optional sweetening with maple syrup and flavoring with pure vanilla extract enhance the taste without overpowering the natural almond flavor.
This almond milk has a subtly nutty taste and a pleasantly smooth texture, making it suitable as a substitute for dairy milk in various culinary applications. Because it is homemade, it lacks preservatives and additives typical of store-bought versions.
Use the almond milk fresh or refrigerate and consume within a few days for best quality. The leftover almond pulp can be dried and used in baking or composted.

- 1 cup almond soaked overnight, raw

- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract pure

- Combine the almonds and water in a blender and blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until creamy.
