Ingredients
Mushroom Sauce
- 250 gms button mushrooms sliced, 8.8 oz
- 1 garlic halved, clove
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 60 ml white wine ¼ cup
- 1 tbsp parsley chopped
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Buns
- 50 ml milk warm, 3 tbsp
- 7 gms active dry yeast 1 tbsp
- 2 ½ tbsp sugar
- 2 egg 1 for the dough and 1 for brushing the buns’ tops
- 420 gms flour 3 cups
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 35 gms butter softened, 2 ½ tbsp
- 240 ml water lukewarm, 1 cup
- carom seeds optional
Beef Patties
- 500 gms ground beef 1.1 lbs
- 3/4 cup parmigiano reggiano thinly grated
- 3/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch nutmeg grated
- salt
- black pepper
To Assemble
- beef patties
- mushroom sauce
- Buns
- fontina cheese or fontal cheese, sliced
- Italian Speck sliced
- arugula also known as rocket
- tomato sliced
- butter to cook patties

Notes
- The above ingredients for the buns will make about 15 slider sized buns. You can easily freeze the extra buns by putting them into a Ziploc bag and have them ready for more sliders!
