Ambrosia Salad Recipe

Ambrosia Salad blends whipped cream, sour cream, mini marshmallows, and a mix of fresh fruits and nuts into a creamy, sweet concoction. This salad features clementines, pineapples, strawberries, coconut, pecans, and maraschino cherries folded gently into the whipped mixture, creating a light, fluffy texture with bursts of fruity and nutty flavors.

Description

The Ambrosia Salad Recipe combines whipped heavy cream with sugar and sour cream to create a smooth and slightly tangy base. Into this base are folded mini marshmallows and an assortment of vibrant fruits including peeled clementines, chopped strawberries, and pineapple pieces. Shredded coconut adds a mild tropical note, while chopped toasted pecans contribute crunch. Sweet maraschino cherries provide a pop of color and additional sweetness.

This salad is chilled for a couple of hours before serving to allow flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up slightly, yielding a refreshingly sweet and creamy dish. Often served as a dessert or alongside holiday meals, Ambrosia Salad offers a nostalgic and textured contrast between creamy, juicy, nutty, and chewy elements.
