American Pancakes
Description
This American Pancakes recipe combines typical pancake ingredients into a smooth batter that cooks on a skillet over medium heat. The dry ingredients—flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt—are mixed separately from the wet ingredients—milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Combining them produces a batter without lumps. Cooking each pancake until browned on both sides yields a tender inside with a slight crisp edge. Serving with golden syrup or chocolate sauce provides sweetness and richness. The straightforward process is suited to homemade breakfast or brunch.
