Angel of Death Jello Shot

Angel of Death Jello Shot offers a creamy, boozy dessert combining unflavored gelatin with milk, sugar, heavy cream, and whipped cream vodka. The result is a smooth, chilled gelatin treat with a subtle sweetness and vodka aroma. Finished with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish, these individual servings provide a rich-textured party dessert in a convenient small cup.

Description

This Angel of Death Jello Shot recipe starts by blooming unflavored gelatin in cold milk. Hot milk dissolves the gelatin and sugar, then cold heavy cream and whipped cream vodka are stirred in to create a creamy, flavored gelatin mixture. The mixture is poured into small plastic cups and chilled until firm.

The texture is smooth and creamy due to the combination of milk and heavy cream, with the vodka adding a mild alcoholic warmth. The gelatin base ensures the dessert holds its shape while offering a tender bite. The combination results in a rich jello shot that contrasts with the light whipped cream topping and chocolate shavings used as garnish.

These shots are prepared in advance, set in the refrigerator, and served chilled. The portion size in 2-ounce cups makes them suitable for individual servings at gatherings. The garnish adds a decorative element without altering the core flavor significantly.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 envelope gelatin unflavored
  • ¾ cup milk divided
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whipped cream vodka
  • Whipped Cream for garnish
  • chocolate for garnish, semi-sweet, shavings

Instructions

  1. Place twelve 2-ounce plastic cups on a baking sheet with the lids off.
  2. Pour gelatin into a medium mixing bowl. Add 1/4 cup cold milk to gelatin. Stir to combine and then set aside.
  3. Heat remaining 1/2 cup milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just starts to simmer.
  4. Pour hot milk into bowl with gelatin and whisk to combine until gelatin has dissolved. Add the sugar and whisk until dissolved.
  5. Add cold heavy cream and vodka. Stir into milk mixture.
  6. Pour jello mixture into the plastic cups. A measuring cup with a spout works great for this. Fill each cup until almost full. You want some room at the top so you can put a lid on later.
  7. Transfer jello shots to fridge to chill for 2 hours, or until jello is set.
  8. When ready to serve, remove the shots from the fridge. Pop lids on top and you're all set.
  9. If you want your shots to look fancy, add a little whipped cream and some chocolate shavings on top of each shot.
