Apple Pie Moonshine

Apple Pie Moonshine blends apple cider and juice with cinnamon and sugar, simmered to meld the flavors before vodka is added. This warm or chilled beverage carries a spicy sweetness and gentle warmth, reminiscent of apple pie in liquid form. Simmering the mixture softens the cinnamon sticks, infusing the cider and juice with their scent while the sugars balance the tartness of the apples.

Description

Apple Pie Moonshine combines apple cider and apple juice with brown and granulated sugar and cinnamon sticks, all simmered together to create a spiced base. Once simmered and flavored, vodka is stirred in to create a strong but smooth, apple-flavored alcohol drink. The process of simmering the mixture gently extracts the warmth and aroma of cinnamon, blending it with the natural sweetness and tartness of the apples.

This drink can be enjoyed warm, providing a cozy beverage with soothing spice, or cooled and stored for later use. The balance between the sweetness from sugar and the acidity from the apple components gives the drink a harmonious character. It is suitable as a seasonal cocktail, especially in autumn when apple and cinnamon flavors are appreciated.

Make sure to remove the cinnamon sticks before serving or bottling to avoid overly strong or bitter notes. The finished product can be refrigerated in airtight containers to preserve its flavor.
