Apple, White Cheddar, and Spinach Salad with Honey-Apple Cider Vinaigrette
Description
Apple, White Cheddar, and Spinach Salad with Honey-Apple Cider Vinaigrette features fresh spinach mixed with thinly sliced apples, aged white cheddar cheese, dried cranberries, and sliced almonds. The vinaigrette blends olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, and mustard, creating a sweet and tangy dressing that complements the mild flavors of the salad ingredients. The apples add a crisp texture and subtle sweetness, while the cheddar adds a savory, creamy element. Tossing the dressing with the salad brings the flavors together for an enjoyable balance. This salad works well as a light meal or a side dish during lunch or dinner.
The method is straightforward: all salad ingredients are assembled together, and the vinaigrette is freshly shaken to combine all dressing ingredients. The vinaigrette can be adjusted to taste before drizzling over the salad to preserve the brightness of the fresh components. Serve immediately after mixing for best texture and flavor.
Extra vinaigrette can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, making it convenient for quick dressings on other salads or dishes.
