Apricot Chicken with Ginger

Apricot Chicken with Ginger pairs chicken thighs or breasts with a glaze made from apricot jam, fresh ginger, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil. The sweet and tangy sauce thickens in the pan, coating the seared chicken pieces. This combination balances savory, sweet, and mild spice flavors, creating a glossy, flavorful finish.

Description

Apricot Chicken with Ginger begins by seasoning chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then searing them in olive oil until browned and almost cooked through. A sauce made from apricot jam, water, fresh minced ginger, and apple cider vinegar is added and simmered to loosen browned bits and create a thick glaze.

The chicken is returned to the pan, turning to coat in the sauce as it thickens to a sticky consistency. This method delivers tender chicken glazed with a rich, glossy sauce exhibiting the sweetness of apricot jam combined with the bright spice of fresh ginger and subtle acidity from the vinegar.

This dish is ideal served alongside rice or vegetables, allowing the flavorful sauce to complement mild sides. It offers a simple way to bring a fruity, slightly tangy dimension to classic chicken.
