Arby’s Beef and Cheddar

This Arby’s Beef and Cheddar copycat sandwich layers thinly sliced roast beef warmed by steaming, toasted buttered onion buns, and a red ranch sauce with a warm Cheez Whiz and cheddar cheese sauce. The combination balances savory, tangy, and creamy textures suitable for a hearty sandwich experience.

Description

The sandwich starts with a red ranch sauce made by blending ketchup, water, onion and garlic powders, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and apple cider vinegar, offering a tangy, mildly sweet component. The cheese sauce is prepared by gently heating Cheez Whiz, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese until smooth and creamy. Thinly sliced roast beef is briefly steamed with water in a covered skillet to warm it without drying out.

Onion buns are sliced, buttered on the inside, and toasted in a skillet until golden, adding crispness and a rich butter flavor. The bottom bun is spread with the red ranch sauce, layered with warm roast beef, topped with the melted cheese sauce, and capped with the toasted top bun. The sandwich is assembled just before eating to keep its texture intact.

These steps recreate a well-known fast-food style sandwich with a combination of sharp, creamy, savory, and butter-toasted flavors and textures that meld well for a substantial, casual meal.
