Asparagus Salad Recipe
Description
The Asparagus Salad features fresh, thin asparagus spears, boiled to a tender but not mushy state, then chilled in ice water to halt cooking and retain a crisp texture. Halved cherry tomatoes add juicy sweetness, while pieces of light string cheese contribute creaminess. The salad is tossed with balsamic vinaigrette, black pepper, and fresh basil to add tang, mild spice, and herbal notes. Served chilled, this combination balances fresh vegetables and cheese for a pleasant contrast in flavors and textures. The simplicity of preparation highlights the natural tastes of the ingredients.
