Asparagus with Bacon Recipe (So Easy)
Description
This recipe calls for trimming asparagus stalks and cutting them into bite-sized pieces. Bacon is diced and cooked first in a skillet until fully crisp, providing rendered fat and smoky flavor. After removing bacon, asparagus is cooked in the same skillet, absorbing flavor and any bacon drippings and seasoned simply with garlic parsley salt. After about five minutes of cooking, the crispy bacon pieces are returned to the pan, warming through while maintaining texture. The heat is then turned off, preserving the bright color and slightly crisp-tender texture of the asparagus.
The resulting dish offers a balance of crisp-tender asparagus spears with the richness and saltiness of bacon, suitable for a side to many meals or part of a brunch spread. Minimal seasoning lets the ingredients shine without complexity.
Ingredients
- 2 lb asparagus
- 12 oz Bacon
- 1 tbsp garlic parsley salt

- Add asparagus to the same cooking pan. Season it with garlic parsley salt. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add bacon crisps back to the skillet and turn off the heat.
