Avocado Burger
Description
This recipe blends ripe avocado into lean ground beef, which adds moisture and a subtle creaminess to the patties without overpowering the meat. Seasoned with salt and black pepper, the patties are shaped and cooked in a cast iron skillet or on a grill until seared golden and cooked through. Meanwhile, the avocado crema is prepared in a food processor combining avocado, Greek yogurt, lime zest and juice, salt, and pepper until smooth, adding a tangy, creamy element to the finished burger.
Serving with a bun, fresh tomato slices, and lettuce offers traditional burger complements that add crunch and freshness. The avocado crema replaces heavier condiments with a lighter, flavorful alternative that ties into the avocado flavor carried in the patties themselves.
The recipe includes tips for storing uncooked patties in the fridge for several days and freezing them for longer storage, adding convenience for meal planning.
