Avocado Toast with Egg
Description
Avocado Toast with Egg starts with slicing ripe avocado and gently removing the slices from the skin. Eggs are cooked in olive or avocado oil in a skillet over medium low heat until the whites set, with an option to cover the pan for firmer yolks. Meanwhile, thick slices of sourdough bread are toasted until crisp.
The avocado slices are then arranged atop the toasted bread, followed by the cooked eggs. The dish is completed with seasoning of lemon pepper, kosher salt, black pepper, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, adding freshness and complexity.
This meal features creamy avocado contrasting with the firm toast and tender egg, creating a balance of rich and bright flavors. It's suitable for breakfast, brunch, or a light meal and pairs well with a simple salad or fresh fruit on the side.
