Avocado Tuna Salad
Description
The Avocado Tuna Salad features diced avocados that provide a creamy base contrasting with the firm cherry tomatoes and sharpness of thinly sliced red onion. Tuna packed in oil is added, with about half the oil drained to control richness while retaining moisture. Chopped cilantro adds herbal brightness, and a tablespoon of lemon juice imparts mild acidity to lift the flavors. Salt and pepper are adjusted to taste, making a well-seasoned but fresh dish.
The salad is mixed gently to combine the elements without mashing the avocado too much, preserving textural contrasts. This no-cook preparation is quick and relies on fresh ingredients for flavor and color balance.
Serving this salad chilled is ideal. It can be accompanied by bread, crackers, or leafy greens for a fuller meal or enjoyed alone as a nutrient-rich snack or light meal.
