Bacon and Egg Cups Recipe
Description
The Bacon and Egg Cups Recipe brings together slices of pre-cooked bacon and whole eggs, baked in muffin tins to create individual savory bites. The bacon forms a crisp, flavorful lining around the egg, which cooks gently in the oven, developing a tender texture without becoming too dry. Seasoned simply with salt and black pepper, the eggs provide a rich, smooth contrast to the salty, slightly crispy bacon. A finishing touch of grated Parmesan cheese melts slightly over the top after baking, adding a subtle umami note paired with fresh chopped parsley to brighten the flavor.
Baking in muffin tins ensures each serving holds its shape and is easy to transport or plate. These egg cups are suitable for breakfast or brunch and can complement simple sides like toast or fresh fruit. Their contained portion makes them convenient for meal prepping or feeding a group.
Since pre-cooked bacon is used, the baking time mainly controls the doneness of the eggs, which can be tailored to preference from soft to fully set. The addition of cheese and parsley before serving adds contrast and freshness to the overall dish.
