Bacon Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders
Description
This recipe uses long thin strips of chicken breast tossed in a mixture of brown sugar, kosher salt, and black pepper. Each strip is wrapped in a strip of bacon and placed in a baking dish, sprinkled with remaining brown sugar. It bakes at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes until the bacon crisps and caramelizes while the chicken cooks through.
The bacon wrapping lends a smoky, savory depth, while the brown sugar forms a sweet, slightly sticky glaze on the exterior for a satisfying texture contrast. The chicken inside remains juicy from the bacon wrapping. These tenders can be served as a finger food appetizer or as a protein component of a meal.
