Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 package crescent rolls refrigerated
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 Tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 2 dill pickles diced, spears
  • 4 lices American cheese or cheddar
  • ¼ cup Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
  • lettuce for garnish
  • tomato
  • red onion
  • pickle

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef. Drain fat. Add ketchup, mustard and diced pickles.
  2. On a large baking sheet, lay out crescent rolls into a rectangle, pinching seams together.
  3. Spread filling down middle of crescents...lengthwise.
  4. Top with cheese and bacon.
  5. To close braid, cut one inch strips on sides of crescent. Pull up and twist over top. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and top with lettuce, diced tomato, red onion and pickles. ENJOY!

Notes

  • Change up the cheese. American, cheddar, colby jack, and swiss cheese are all delicious in Bacon Cheeseburger Braids.
  • Ground beef substitute. Swap the beef for ground turkey or a vegetarian ground beef substitute for a lighter burger braid.
  • Let everyone add their own toppings. If your family members all have different preferences for their burger fixings, serve the garnishes on the side. That way everyone can enjoy the bacon cheeseburger braid just the way they like it.
  • Dipping sauces. Feel free to serve the burger braid with a side of ketchup, mustard or mayo for dipping!
  • Make it a ring! Want to double the recipe? Just make the shape a ring, like we did with this buffalo chicken ring, and our Italian beef ring.
