Bacon Crackers
Description
This recipe arranges club crackers on a wire rack over a baking sheet, topping each with a third of a bacon strip and sprinkling brown sugar on top. Baking at a low temperature of 250°F slowly crisps the bacon, allowing the sugar to caramelize without burning. The wire rack setup helps excess fat to drain away, preventing sogginess in the crackers.
The result is a bite-sized snack with a balance of textures: the crisp cracker and bacon edges with a sticky-sweet surface from the caramelized sugar. These are ideal for serving as an appetizer or party finger food when you want a straightforward recipe that delivers contrasting flavors without fuss.
Leftover crackers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week to maintain their crispness.
