Bacon, Walnut & Honey Brussels Sprouts
Description
Bacon, Walnut & Honey Brussels Sprouts highlight medium-sized Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved, cooked together with chopped bacon and walnuts. The sprouts are pan-fried until they develop a crisp, golden-brown surface while the bacon cooks to almost done. Toasting the walnuts in the same pan adds a nutty aroma and crunch. Finally, melted honey is poured over and stirred in to coat all ingredients, contributing a subtle sweetness that complements the smoky bacon and toasted nuts.
This dish offers a contrast in texture with crispy edges from frying and soft interiors from the sprouts. Walnuts add crunch, and the honey glaze brings a balanced sweet note to the earthy sprouts and savory bacon. It can be served as a flavorful vegetable side dish alongside meats, or as a warm salad addition.
The method is straightforward: cook bacon first until sizzling, add sprouts to sear, then walnuts to toast, and finish with honey. This ensures each component is properly cooked and fragrant before serving.
