Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites
Description
The recipe begins by cutting boneless, skinless chicken breasts into small, 1-inch cubes. Each cube is wrapped with half a slice of thin-cut bacon that has been seasoned on both the bacon and chicken with a mixture containing brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. This combination provides sweetness balanced with mild heat and aromatic spices.
Baking at 350°F on a parchment-lined sheet pan initially cooks the bites for 25 minutes before flipping each piece to ensure even cooking and crisping of the bacon, then baking for an additional 10 minutes. The timing helps the bacon become crispy without overcooking the chicken. The bites have a caramelized, sticky surface from the sugar and spices and a smoky, meaty flavor from the bacon.
These chicken bites make convenient party snacks or hearty finger foods that combine protein and flavorful seasoning. Because the pieces are individually wrapped, they are easy to handle and serve.
