Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers with Gorgonzola

Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers with Gorgonzola combine spicy jalapeños stuffed with a creamy blend of cream cheese and Gorgonzola, wrapped in savory bacon and finished with a drizzle of honey-flavored barbecue sauce. The baking crisps the bacon while melting the cheese filling, offering a balance of spicy heat, tangy cheese, and smoky richness. These poppers make a flavorful appetizer or party snack that showcases a combination of textures from crispy bacon to soft cheese and tender peppers.

Description

This recipe for Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers with Gorgonzola starts by halving and seeding large jalapeño peppers to create a vessel for the creamy filling. A mixture of softened cream cheese combined with crumbled Gorgonzola cheese forms a rich and tangy stuffing, which is spooned into the pepper halves. Each stuffed pepper is then wrapped with thin strips of bacon, which are sliced lengthwise to fit snugly. A drizzle of honey-flavored barbecue sauce adds a hint of sweetness and extra glaze during baking.

Baked at 425°F until the bacon crisps to your preference, the poppers develop a smoky, savory crust enveloping the softened filling and tender jalapeños. The contrast of creamy cheese and spicy pepper with smoky bacon creates a layered taste experience with a pleasing mixture of textures, from crisp edges to a soft center.

These poppers are best served hot, directly from the oven as appetizers or finger foods at gatherings, pairing well with cold beverages or as a flavorful snack to share.
