Bacon Wrapped Olives - Perfect Party Food

Bacon Wrapped Olives are an appetizer of large green Manzanilla olives stuffed with pimento, each wrapped in a third of a quality bacon rasher and secured with a toothpick. Baked in a hot oven until the bacon crisps and browns, these bite-sized treats combine savory, salty bacon with the briny tang of olives, ideal for serving hot or warm at gatherings.

Description

The recipe involves cutting bacon rashers into thirds and wrapping each piece around a large stuffed olive, held in place with a toothpick. The wrapped olives are arranged on a foil-lined tray or baking dish and baked at 400ºF (205ºC) for 10 minutes, turned, and baked for another 8 to 10 minutes until the bacon is browned and cooked through.

The cooking method crisps the bacon exterior while heating the olive inside, creating a mixture of smoky, salty, and slightly tangy flavors with a tender, juicy olive center. The simplicity of this snack makes it easy to prepare ahead and finish in the oven before serving.

This appetizer fits well with party menus or as finger food during casual entertaining. Using nitrate- and sugar-free bacon focuses on quality and flavor without additive aftertastes.

Quality ingredients enhance the taste markedly; selecting large plump olives and high-grade bacon ensures the best balance of textures and flavors.
