Baconnaise

Baconnaise is a blend of crispy bacon pieces mixed into mayonnaise, creating a savory spread with smoky bacon flavor and creamy texture. Baking the bacon before chopping ensures it is crisp, then mixing it into mayo creates a versatile condiment for sandwiches, burgers, or dips.

Description

Baconnaise combines cooked, finely chopped bacon with mayonnaise for a rich, smoky-flavored spread. The bacon is baked until crisp, then cooled and chopped into smaller pieces to distribute evenly throughout the mayonnaise. This mixture offers the creamy texture of mayo with bursts of bacon crunch and savory taste in each bite.

The preparation involves baking bacon on parchment or a silicone mat, draining excess fat if desired, and chopping to preferred size. Mixing the bacon into mayonnaise evenly spreads the flavor, and storing in a jar keeps it ready for use.

Baconnaise can be served alongside sandwiches, used as a dip with vegetables or chips, or added to burgers for an enhanced savory note. Its rich combination bridges the smoky-salty bacon qualities with smooth mayonnaise for a distinct condiment experience.
