  • 4 pork chops 3/4 to 1 inch thick, bone-in
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme dried leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary dried leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
  3. Rub the olive oil evenly over both sides of each pork chop.
  4. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each pork chop, rubbing it in gently to ensure it adheres well.
  5. Place the seasoned pork chops on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they reach an internal
  7. temperature of 145°F at the thickest part.
  8. Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Allow the pork chops to come to room temperature before cooking to ensure even cooking.
  • Choose pork chops that are 3/4 to 1 inch thick for the best results. Thinner chops may dry out quickly, while thicker chops may require a longer cooking time.
