Baked Brie
Description
This recipe starts with a cold Brie cheese round that bakes in the oven just long enough to soften the center while keeping its structure intact. The heat melds the surface into a luscious texture, perfect for spreading. Drizzling honey over the Brie adds a sweet contrast to its mild, buttery flavor. Toasted pecans contribute crunch and a nutty accent, while a pinch of flaky sea salt can enhance balance. Fresh herb garnishes provide an aromatic finish, and the variety of dippers including bread, crackers, and fruits allows customization for serving and tasting.
Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) round Brie cheese chilled*
- honey for drizzling
- pecan for sprinkling, chopped, toasted
- sea salt for sprinkling, optional, flaky
For serving
- rosemary for garnish, fresh sprigs
- thyme for garnish, fresh sprigs
- baguette sliced
- Crostini
- Cracker
- apple slices
- grapes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the chilled brie on the baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until soft in the middle.
- Remove from the oven and carefully transfer to a serving dish (the brie will be fragile after baking).
- Drizzle generously with honey and sprinkle with chopped pecans and flaky sea salt, if using. Garnish with rosemary or thyme and serve with baguette, apple slices, and grapes.
Notes
- Start with Brie straight from the refrigerator to prevent it from melting too quickly and losing shape during baking.
